What changed: the revised schedule of 14 September
The PGDAC-2026 process began with Adv. Nos. BCECEB(PGDAC)-2026/01 and /02, both dated 18 August 2026, covering registration-cum-choice-filling for the opening rounds. On 14 September 2026, BCECEB issued Adv. No. BCECEB(PGDAC)-2026/03 — the Revised Schedule of PGDAC-2026 — superseding the earlier timetable for the rounds that followed. Under the revised flow, Round-2 online counselling was held on 29–30 September 2026. The practical lesson of this cycle, worth stating plainly for every future candidate: in BCECEB counselling, the latest advertisement number wins. A revised schedule does not sit alongside the old one; it replaces it, and the Board's notice board — not a screenshot saved in August — is the only place where the currently operative dates live.
Round 3: the notices of 2 October and the completed timeline
On 2 October 2026, BCECEB issued the Round-3 pair of notices: Adv. No. BCECEB(PGDAC)-2026/04 (details of registration-cum-choice-filling) and Adv. No. BCECEB(PGDAC)-2026/05 (the important notice for the round). Round-3 registration and application-cum-choice-filling were invited from NEET(MDS)-2026 qualified, eligible candidates in three situations: those who had never registered in the earlier advertisements (/01, /02, /03); those who had registered but had not duly submitted the application with payment of the counselling fee and security deposit; and — by consent — candidates who had already submitted applications and fell under the condition in the notice. One condition cut across all groups: the candidate must not be admitted to any dental college in India. Seats offered were those left vacant after Round-2 admissions.
The Round-3 timeline, now complete, ran as follows:
- 3–6 October 2026: online registration and application submission (closing 11:59 pm on 6 October)
- 8 October 2026: publication of the PGDAC rank card
- Up to 9 October 2026: choice filling and locking
- 14 October 2026: provisional seat allotment result; allotment orders downloadable 14–17 October
- 16–17 October 2026: document verification and admission
Note the trap built into that sequence: the application/payment deadline (6 October) and the choice-locking deadline (9 October) were different dates. A candidate who registered but delayed payment past 6 October could not be rescued by the later choice window.
Who takes part, and where the seats are
Eligibility for PGDAC rests on NEET MDS 2026 qualification with a BDS degree and the internship and registration requirements that NEET MDS itself prescribes; the PGDAC rank list is prepared from the NEET MDS All India Rank. Bihar's MDS seat pool is small and concentrated — the participating institutions in this cycle include Patna Dental College and Hospital, Patna (government), Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Kankarbagh, Patna (private) and Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital, Darbhanga (private) — which is why the Round-3 seat matrix, published by the Board before choice filling, had to be read college- and category-wise before locking anything. In a pool this small, one withdrawn admission changes the matrix.
How a PGDAC round works, step by step
- Open bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and go to the PGDAC-2026 section of the Notice Board. Download the current advertisement and the round's seat matrix before doing anything else.
- Register online with your NEET MDS details, fill the application, and pay the counselling fee and security deposit prescribed in the notice — an unpaid application is treated as never submitted.
- Download your rank card when published; your PGDAC rank, not your NEET MDS raw score, orders the allotment.
- Fill choices — college and MDS speciality combinations in your true order of preference — and lock them before the locking deadline. Unlocked or unsubmitted choices do not participate.
- Check the provisional allotment on the result date, download the allotment order within its window, and report for document verification and admission on the exact dates in the schedule, with original documents. Missing the reporting window forfeits the seat to the next round's matrix.
Where the cycle stands now
Round 3's verification and admission closed on 17 October 2026, which makes it the last completed stage of PGDAC-2026 as of this check. If seats still remain in any college, the only route forward is a further notice from BCECEB on its notice board — check the PGDAC-2026 advertisement list there rather than relying on counselling-group forwards. Candidates admitted in Round 3 should complete the college-level joining formalities as directed in their allotment order. For NEET MDS 2027 aspirants, the transferable lessons from this cycle are simple: BCECEB revises schedules mid-process, fee payment and choice locking run on different deadlines, and the candidate who reads the latest advertisement number — not the first PDF they saved — is the one whose dates are real.
Sources & verification
Re-checked the official BCECEB notice board today: PGDAC-2026 now lists Round-3 notices (Adv. Nos. BCECEB(PGDAC)-2026/04 and /05, dated 02.10.2026) after the revised schedule (Adv. No. /03, dated 14.09.2026). Exact Round-3 dates sit in the linked notices.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a separate Bihar entrance test for MDS admission?
No. PGDAC is built entirely on your NEET MDS 2026 result - your All India Rank is converted into a PGDAC rank, and seats are allotted online, round by round, against the choices you fill.
What did the revised schedule of 14 September 2026 change?
Adv. No. BCECEB(PGDAC)-2026/03, dated 14 September 2026, superseded the earlier timetable for the rounds that followed, and under the revised flow Round-2 online counselling was held on 29-30 September 2026. In BCECEB counselling, the latest advertisement number replaces the old schedule.
Who could register for PGDAC Round 3?
Round 3 was invited from NEET(MDS)-2026 qualified, eligible candidates who had never registered in the earlier advertisements, who had registered but not duly submitted the application with payment of the counselling fee and security deposit, and, by consent, candidates covered by the notice condition. Every candidate had to not be admitted to any dental college in India.
When were the PGDAC Round 3 allotment and verification held?
The provisional seat allotment result came on 14 October 2026, with allotment orders downloadable from 14 to 17 October 2026, and document verification and admission on 16-17 October 2026.
Will there be a stray-vacancy round after PGDAC Round 3?
As of 20 October 2026 no such notice had been identified on the notice board. If seats still remain, the only route forward is a further notice from BCECEB on its notice board.
