What has actually been declared
On 14 September 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education declared the Tier-II results for two posts in the KVS and NVS recruitment drive: Primary Teachers (PRTs) and Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSAs). This was Phase 12 of a phased result declaration — CBSE has been releasing Tier-II results post by post since the Tier-II exams were held from 27 to 31 March 2026, and PRT and JSA were among the last major posts to be declared.
There is no public merit-list PDF for these two posts. Your result is individual: it sits inside your candidate application login, and it tells you one of two things depending on your post — either your marks (if your post has no further selection stage) or your shortlisting status for the next stage.
This recruitment is the combined KVS/NVS drive under Notification 01/2025, one of the largest school-staffing exercises in recent years: 14,967 vacancies in total — 9,126 in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and 5,841 in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti — covering teaching posts from PRT to Principal and a wide range of non-teaching posts. Of those, PRT alone accounted for 3,365 KVS posts. Tier-I was held on 10 and 11 January 2026; Tier-II followed in late March.
PRT and JSA are at different points in the process — read your result accordingly
This is where candidates most often misread what their login is telling them.
For Primary Teachers (PRT): selection includes an interview stage. If your login shows you as shortlisted, that is not a final selection — it means you have cleared Tier-II and are called for the interview round. Your Tier-II marks are not the end of the story, and CBSE has said marksheets for interview posts will be made available within 15 days of the final result, after the interview process completes. If you only see a shortlisting status and no marks, that is expected behaviour, not a portal error.
For Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSA): JSA is a non-teaching clerical post, and its next stage is a skill/typing test rather than an interview. For posts where no interview is prescribed, CBSE has made Tier-II marks available in the candidate login along with the result itself. If you are a JSA candidate, check whether your login shows marks, a skill-test call, or both — and do not assume a PRT candidate's screen looks the same as yours.
How to check your result, step by step
- Go to the official CBSE/KVS/NVS application portal — access it from cbse.gov.in, kvsangathan.nic.in or navodaya.gov.in, not from a link in a forwarded message.
- Log in with the credentials you created during application. Note: for this recruitment, CBSE has repeatedly used the registration number (not the application number) for login at various stages — if one doesn't work, try the other before assuming the portal is down.
- Open the Tier-II result/shortlisting link for your post.
- Read the full status: post name, your marks (if shown), and the next-stage instruction (interview, skill test, or document stage).
- Download and save a copy, and take a screenshot as backup. Portals for phased results are taken down and re-hosted; your saved copy is your proof.
What happens next
Interview (PRT and other interview posts): the interview schedule, venue and call letter will appear in your candidate login. There is no separate postal intimation to rely on. Interview preparation for PRT should cover classroom pedagogy for Classes 1–5, the foundational-stage approach under NEP 2020, and your subject confidence at the primary level — panels test whether you can actually teach young children, not just whether you know content.
Skill test (JSA): expect a typing test on computer. Start practising English/Hindi typing speed now rather than waiting for the call letter; skill tests are qualifying but eliminatory — failing the typing test ends your candidature regardless of your Tier-II marks.
Document verification: whichever post you are in, keep these ready in original plus photocopies: your Class 10 and 12 certificates and marksheets, graduation degree and marksheets, your professional qualification certificate (for PRT, your elementary-education diploma/degree and CTET certificate), category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) in the central government format, PwD certificate if applicable, photo ID, and the application printout. Category certificates in state format or in a parent's name are the most common verification-stage rejection.
If your post's result is not out yet
CBSE is declaring Tier-II results in phases, and scorecards for the remaining posts are still being finalised. If you applied for a post other than PRT or JSA and your login shows nothing new, you have not missed anything — check the CBSE, KVS and NVS websites periodically, and ignore any "complete merit list PDF" circulating on messaging apps. For this drive, CBSE has consistently released results through individual logins, not public PDFs.
Mistakes to avoid now
- Treating shortlisting as selection. For PRT, the interview is still to come, and final merit combines the stages as per the notification.
- Not saving your result screen. When the login window changes to the next phase, retrieving an old status becomes a grievance-cell email you don't want to write.
- Waiting for a letter. Every stage of this drive — city slip, admit card, result, interview call — has come through the online login only.
- Letting your category or qualification documents lapse. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates have validity windows; if yours has expired, renew it before document verification, not after a rejection.
The bottom line: if you are a PRT or JSA candidate in the KVS/NVS 2025 drive, your Tier-II result is out, it is in your login, and your next move depends entirely on which post you hold — interview preparation for PRTs, typing practice for JSAs, and document readiness for both.

Frequently asked questions
When was the KVS NVS Tier 2 result for PRT and JSA declared?
CBSE declared the Tier-II results for Primary Teachers (PRTs) and Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSAs) on 14 September 2026, as Phase 12 of a phased result declaration.
Where can candidates check their result?
