ICSE & ISC Result 2027: no date yet — here is the real picture

Let us start with the fact this page exists to give you: CISCE has not announced any ICSE or ISC result date for 2027, and it cannot have — the Year 2027 examinations have not been conducted yet. What can be stated with confidence is how the cycle works, when results have actually landed in recent years, exactly how you will check yours when the day comes, and what your options are afterwards if a mark disappoints you. That is what this page covers, with the confirmed 2026 cycle as the reference.

Who conducts ICSE and ISC

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is a private national board of school education, headquartered in New Delhi, that conducts two examinations: the ICSE at the end of Class 10 and the ISC at the end of Class 12, through its 3,300-plus affiliated schools in India and abroad. CISCE publishes its result notice on cisce.org and hosts the results themselves on its dedicated portal, results.cisce.org. Any other website showing you a "CISCE result" is mirroring or guessing — the Council's portal is the only authoritative source.

The 2026 cycle, as it actually happened

The most recent completed cycle is the reference point for 2027 expectations:

  • ISC 2026 examinations ran from 12 February to 6 April 2026.
  • ICSE 2026 examinations ran from 17 February to 30 March 2026.
  • Results for both were declared together on 30 April 2026 at 11:00 AM.
  • The overall pass percentage was 99.18% for ICSE (about 2.59 lakh candidates) and 99.13% for ISC (about 1.03 lakh candidates).
  • The recheck window opened the next day, 1 May, and ran to 4 May 2026, with improvement-examination applications following later in May.

The year before followed the same shape: 2025 results were also declared on 30 April, and 2024 results on 6 May. So while no 2027 date is official, the honest expectation — labelled as expectation, not announcement — is a result in late April or early May 2027, a few weeks after the 2027 examinations end, announced in advance through a CISCE notice.

How to check your result when it is declared

Keep your Unique ID (UID) and Index Number ready — both are issued through your school and appear on your examination documents. On result day:

  • Open results.cisce.org (or follow the result link from cisce.org).
  • Select your examination — ICSE or ISC — and the year.
  • Enter your UID and Index Number exactly as issued, and fill in the captcha shown on the page.
  • Submit. Your subject-wise statement of marks appears on screen.
  • Download or print it immediately. This online statement is provisional — your school issues the original marksheet and pass certificate later.

If the portal is slow under load — it often is in the first hour — the same result has in recent cycles also been available through DigiLocker and the UMANG app, and by SMS. Use only channels named in CISCE's own result notice for 2027; do not hand your UID to unofficial "result checker" sites.

What your result shows, and what passing means

The statement of marks shows subject-wise marks (external examination plus internal assessment/project components where applicable), your overall result status, and grades for subjects such as Socially Useful Productive Work where relevant. Under CISCE rules, the pass standard is 35% in each subject for ISC, and for ICSE a pass requires the prescribed aggregate with English compulsory — the precise conditions are printed in the Council's regulations and on your statement. CISCE does not publish a merit or toppers list; it stopped doing so years ago, so any "CISCE toppers 2027" list circulating on result day is not from the Council.

If a mark looks wrong: recheck and re-evaluation

CISCE opens a short post-result window — in 2026 it was 1–4 May, immediately after declaration — during which you can apply online for a recheck of a subject's answer book. If the recheck changes nothing and you want a deeper review, CISCE's 2026 guidelines also provide for re-evaluation after the recheck stage, and an Improvement Examination for candidates who want to better their performance in a subject, plus a Supplementary Examination route in the circumstances the guidelines specify. The 2026 ICSE and ISC guideline documents are published on cisce.org and are the best preview of how the 2027 process will run; fees and exact windows for 2027 will be confirmed in the 2027 result notice. Two practical points: the recheck window is measured in days, not weeks, so decide quickly; and applications are made by the candidate through the channels CISCE specifies (schools apply through the CAREERS portal on a candidate's behalf where required), not through any agent.

Common mistakes on result day

  • Searching for a date that has not been announced. Predicted dates on social media are not CISCE announcements. The Council confirms the date and time in a notice on cisce.org shortly before declaration.
  • Losing your UID or Index Number. Without both, the portal cannot show your result. Photograph your admit card/hall ticket details now, not on result morning.
  • Treating the provisional printout as the final marksheet. Admissions that need the original will ask for the school-issued document; collect it when your school announces distribution.
  • Missing the recheck window. It opened the day after results in 2026 and closed within four days.
  • Paying third-party sites. Checking your result on the official portal is free.

When CISCE issues the Year 2027 result notice, this page will carry the confirmed date and time. Until then, prepare for the pattern the Council has followed three years running: examinations in February–April, results together for ICSE and ISC in late April or early May, and a recheck window that opens almost immediately afterwards.
